Surprise Visit

Kathryn and Micah came for a surprise visit this last week before school starts.
We spent the week visiting, laughing, and just hanging out.
Because Kathryn's birthday was last week, Alyssa and I took her down to City Creek,
Temple Square, and the Cheesecake Factory to celebrate her turning the big 2-5!
Thanks for coming guys! I love you and miss you already!

Gone Fishin'

Ok, technically I didn't really "go fishing" because I don't have a lisence.
So instead, I chilled by Dorothy as she fished and just posed for a picture with the pole, ha.
But I did wear appropriate attire, sporting my Bass Pro Shop shirt. (I thought of you dad ;) )

I knew that I would have a good time hanging with Dot,
but I was pleasantly surprised that I had a good time doing the fishing stuff.
I might just have to get myself a pole and a license!

To Kill a Mockingbird

I have been wanting to attend one of the Shakespeare plays all summer long
but never had the opportunity/time to do so.
Then when I was finally going to have the time,
after EFY and before I came home to Logan, I wasn't able to get tickets.
Needless to say, I was bummed.

Enter Quincey McGuire.
I'm so lucky to have a friend like Quincey.
Not only did she sacrifice her time to come visit me on campus last week,
but she scored me and my family tickets to attend To Kill A Mockingbird.
She is such a sweetheart and I count her as one of the biggest blessing in my life.

To Kill A Mockingbird is one of my favorite books,
so obviously it's now one of my favorite plays.
It did not disappoint. :)

EFY {part 4}- Not Ashamed

Bittersweet.
That's how I'd describe this week,
my last and final week of being an EFY counselor.

I am ready to get back to real life.
Not so much because I want to, but because I'm starting to get axious
about things I need to take care of for my regular job and for school.
(Not to mention I'm exsahsted. How people do 8 or 9 weeks in a row I'll never know.)

But I will miss everything about EFY.
(ok, maybe not everything. I will not miss the food or the unflattering polos. But everything else I will miss)
I will miss the incredible teachers that taught me insights into the Gospel I will never forget.
I will miss the counselors that I got to work with who are truely the "Salt of the Earth".

And I will miss my kids.
"...Behold, I say unto you, I cannot say the smallest part which I feel." --Alma 26:12
I can't put into words how I feel about my kids.
They have changed me, down to my core.
I love them.

Here is my last company, "Not Ashamed."
Some of the coolest peeps I'll every know. :)
